Connecting Consumers and Producers Event Funding

Program Overview
There is a growing movement in our region toward consumption of locally grown food products. Connecting Consumers and Producers is an annual project that promotes local food producers and provides resources to consumers on eating locally produced food year round.
The RDBN is providing funding up to $1,100 to non-profit organizations, municipalities, chambers of commerce, or community clubs/groups in the region to host events geared towards connecting consumers with producers.
Objectives for Connecting Consumers and Producers Events:
1. Increase public awareness of the benefits of purchasing locally grown food products.
2. Support of local food producers through community events and the Producer Directory on the Connecting Consumers and Producers website.
Application Materials
Applications can be submitted through the online application form or by downloading the application form and emailing or mailing it in.
